Once the CrazyCall browser extension is installed and linked with your account and project, you can start using it right away. It lets you both make and receive calls in one place, in a similar way our call panel does. However, the way you initiate connection with our add-on is different and here’s how to make the most of it.
If it’s not visible in your browser, click on the red icon in your browser toolbar to open your CrazyCall add-on:
There are two ways in which you can initiate calls in your add-on:
- Manually dial number using the keypad
- Click to call numbers recognized by CrazyCall on websites you visit
To make use of the click to call option, you first need to activate it. Click on the gear icon on the left to open the settings and go to the ‘Recognize phone numbers’ option. Make sure the green toggle is switched on:
Once this option is activated, all phone numbers on websites you visit will be highlighted in red. You’ll be able to click to call them immediately. These new numbers will be automatically added to your contacts list and you’ll be able to view their history.
You can also specify default phone prefix in case there is no area code in the numbers CrazyCall finds for you on the visited websites. This comes in handy especially if you focus your research or prospecting on organizations from a particular region. With this option on you no longer have to worry about adding area code manually - CrazyCall will automatically adjust these numbers for you.
Once you start a connection with your lead or client, here’s what you’ll see:
You can click on the mic and receiver icons to mute / adjust your speakers and microphone levels.
Similarly as in the call panel, you can also mark your call with a success status - simply use the green thumb icon. Such calls will be added to your successes report in the app. If you choose no status at all, it will be automatically marked as a ‘widget call’.
To finish the call just press the red receiver icon at the bottom of the add-on window.
You can receive calls in your add-on as long as you are logged in.
If your leads or clients call you, you’ll get a visual notification.
Press the green ‘Accept’ button to take the call or choose the red one to decline it.
Similar as in case of the outbound calls, you can click on the mic and receiver icons to mute / adjust your speakers and microphone levels.
Once you’re done with the call, you can finish it by pressing the red receiver icon at the bottom of the add-on window.
You may want to check if your funds are sufficient before connecting with your leads and clients. Click on the dollar icon at the bottom on the add-on window to enter your Account Balance. You can view both your minutes allowance and available credit:
You can use Charge Account option to add funds. It opens a new window with the app where you can top up your balance in My Account.
